Rerceived the stainless etch for the Keystone Details PRR 3768 kit and this happened:
For the first time in a while, I did some modeling worth while. I got a bunch of european N scale in a trade for my Z scale stuff I had that I never used anymore. In this lot, I got some passenger cars, a few freight cars, and a few locomotives. I got a fleischmann 2-10-0 that needed to be totally tore down and cleaned/oiled, as the freewheeling locomotive was seized. Another was a arnold BR212 that needed a new truck pin, An arnold 4-6-4 tank engine that didn't need any work, a fleishschmann BR614 that needed some wiring fixes and cleaning. But in the lot, was an old Lima FS E.424 locomotive, One of the REALLY old ones that were one wheel drive. I built a Scratchbuilt Mechanism for it, Using the trucks from a Fleischmann V212. It has the wrong trucks, but until I find a mechanism with the proper wheel spacing for the truck frames, this will work, and it looks convening. I need to find some longer worms for it, It aint pretty, but for now, it works.
Nice vintage Europen stuff - I like it! Was that a coreless motor I saw?
John: There are non-simians here?
Or you know a non N scaler could make their own thread...
...I'm becoming very annoyed by the discussion that implies that TRW is an N scale club and others are not welcome.
I did. So did @Dave Vollmer and @LIRR. I'm becoming very annoyed by the discussion that implies that TRW is an N scale club and others are not welcome.DFF
