Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

It is close but the R is not quite correct. The H is also too narrow.  Isn't there a font called Railroad Gothic?  Maybe that will be closer?

Could one of the typesetters here explain the difference between "Demi Compressed", "Compressed Demi", and "Std Comp Demi"?   :?

Here is a sample:

I think that is close enough. The O seems a bit too oval (the 1:1 seems to have more vertical sides) but on an N scale model, that will probably not even be visible. Heck, the different R I questioned earlier would have probably been ok. It all depends how anally you want to approach this project.  I don't know what you use for graphic program, but I, in Corel Draw, would have found letters that looked close, converted the text to curves then tweaked the shape of the letters which needed tweaking.

Close enough for some model railroad companies.

The "W" is wrong, the "R" is wrong, the "O" is wrong, and so on.

It all depends on what you can live with. At a glance it looks pretty good! 8)

EDIT: For the SOUTHERN cars, the difference is less conspicuous.

Thanks for the comments...  I think - as pointed out - they need some tweaking...

Will probably use Illustrator for this (these tests were done in Photoshop).

If any of this pans out, I'll make the artwork available....
