Trucks and couplers for LBF/ Huberts Coal Gons

I recently purchased some Huberts coalporters and Aeroflos. I need to put trucks and couplers on them, I was thinking of using the BLMA trucks and Micro-Trains True Scale couplers.

I wonder if the trucks would make the car sit too low? Could I swap them for the trucks on Fox Valley RD-4 and fix the hieght on both? And what length of couplers would I need, I feel that the short would bring them possibly too close together.

Anyone else try any of this?

They may need an truck with an offset bolster arm, e.g. Trainworx 100T truck.

On the pix below, the brown car has BLMA 100T trucks and MTL body mounts, while the blue car has MTL truck mounted 70T trucks.

With the BLMA, the car is lowered such that the couplers mount directly to the underside.

I am happy with new ride height.

That looks great, I'll post some pics here when I get everything assembled. Thanks for posting your pics, I'm really excited to see the end result.
