Well, after buying a Nikon TC-200 teleconverter today, I have nothing left I could possibly buy.

I have all the cameras, lenses, lens pouches and caps and lens hoods and filters I could ever use. Even a tripod, motor drives, soft shutter releases, spare batteries, camera straps and body caps. With a few spares to boot. Half the fun of photography is buying equipment. What am I gonna do now... :?


Hmm... when is Kiz gonna
buy some film...?

You can always sell all the stuff you just got and try a different type or brand of camera (and accessories).  :D

You also said " half the fun". Well, this is the  perfect time to enjoy the other half of the fun. The glass is half-full, remember?

In my experience the other half also lasts much longer than the buying half, and it is much more rewarding with lots of good and bad photos to show for.

I'm going down to New Orleans tomorrow, and I plan on hitting the French Quarter for a day. Back in the 1970s, I would go to the French Quarter every Saturday all day to take photos. I never ran out of subjects to shoot there. I wish I hadn't lost all my slides in Katrina. Rats! :RUEffinKiddingMe:

Yeahhhh... Give me a year until my wife and I move back down to the New Orleans area (Metairie or Gretna - the suburbs). Then I'll load up again!

Man, I miss my old Beseler 23CII enlarger and making my own B&W prints... never could get the hang of color negative printing though. I did make some BEAUTIFUL Cibachrome prints from my slides, but the chemicals were so toxic, I gave that up quickly enough.

I don't shoot indoor shots or use flash. I shoot just outdoor existing light only.

I have multiple copies of my Nikon F2A cameras (5), but I have no desire to take them apart  :ashat: . In my opinion, that's the best 35mm film camera ever made, and I've used a LOT of different cameras like Canon's F1, Pentax's ESII and Leica's SL2 and R3.

I've had about 10 F2As since 1980, and I've only had 2 small problems. One camera has a frozen mirror lock-up lever (never need to use it), and the other has a film rewind button on the base that keeps popping back out so that you need to hold it in while rewinding the film. I can easily live with that.

That sounds very familiar to me (and the most enjoyable thing about buying new stuff). But in most cases a single copy is still usable after the disassembly.  :D

My wife has a cheap digital camera, but for some reason, when I try to post a photo here, bad things happen...
