My avatar is not showing up anymore

It is one of the pre-canned forum's avatars. I just went to check my profile and none of those default avatars show up.  What happened?  I'm pretty sure it was still showing up after the https changeover, so that is probably not it.

Because yours is not t the original one.  :P If you go to the avatar section of your profile and try to select anu of the default gallery avatars (which are part of the forum software), none of them show up anymore.

Thanks!  Now I can get the original image and follow Josh's example to customize it slightly.

New problem:  I took Eva's avatar image and changed it sligthly. Then I uploaded it to my TRW gallery.  It is at https://www.therailwire.net/forum/gallery/2700_23_02_17_1_13_59.jpeg



I now tried to use it as my avatar. I enter the URL in the "Specify avatar by URL" field then click the "Change Profile" button. No errors, but when the profile web page refreshes, my avatar is set to "No Avatar".  Weird. Is there something which prevents using images stored in the gallery as avatars?  I think Josh's avatar is stored in the gallery.  :?

  :?  But there is no option for uploading avatars.  :?  You can have no avatar, select one of the default pictures built-in into the forum software, or "Specify avatar by URL" *which is what I'm trying to dd (and it is not working). There is no "upload" option.

You must be special - I don't have that option.   No wonder I'm having problems.   :facepalm: I still don't understand why using the URL option with the .jpeg link of my avatar in TRW gallery is not working.  :| @tom mann if you have a spare moment, could you look into this (either why I don't' have the download option or why the URL option is not working)?

This is my browser info:
User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 SeaMonkey/2.40

I have no problems uploading photos to  the posts and to the gallery - just the avatar issue.
