A little familiar with Georgia Central, this is a foregone conclusion I'm surprised took this long to happen.

If I understand it correctly, this purchase will allow connection between other G&W roads, which could make for a much more efficient railroading.  G&W is just gobbling up the short lines.  If it keeps this up, it will become a Class 1 railroad.   :o

  G&W is just gobbling up the short lines.  If it keeps this up, it will become a Class 1 railroad.   DFF

They've cut debt levels so they can leverage themselves again to make more buys or get that "big one" whatever it may be. They have said they are in a M&A thinking mode.
