How do I reference another thread?

Please excuse my ignorance, but how do I reference another thread in a post?

Or if you want to point to a specific comment within the thread, you can click on the topic title next to the poster ie where it says Re: How do I reference another thread ?

If I want to point to a specific post in a thread I just right-click on the subject line of that specific post then select "Copy link location". Then paste it into my message using "Insert Hyperlink" button.
