While I'm in for the AM/V&O units hopefully they don't sit like 4x4's...! The BN unit looks like it could compete with Grave Digger.

IM posted a video demonstrating what appears to be a production sound unit. The Lok sound full throttle feature is really nice.

The n scale photos on their website show some pretty heavy gluing going on around the DB section and crooked cab windows. The slab wheels are unfortunate.

nobody noticed that many cars on the train have a connection to Railwire.

Regarding the "slab wheels", I understand that because of the comments that originated here about their freight car wheels, their decision makers were convinced to retool them.

Also, I'm flipping back between the photos of the HO ATSF unit and the N ATSF unit.  The trucks appear to be a completely different shape, and throw off the proportions a little (to my eye, they make the cab look small)

The SD40-2 truck:cab proportions look very similar to the SD40-2T run. I'm hoping a truck or wheel swap and the addition of a frame under the walkways will help fix those issues. I may buy one to sacrifice for the sake of experimenting.

That vid has been out a short bit. There was another post about it earlier. I can't remember if it is a pre or production model though.

There's a gap between the walkway and the short hood on the BN unit. I hope these are excecuted as our only hope if there not is for Scaletrains to do the SD40-2.

Look, they are due in at any moment. Can we wait a bit before we commit them to the rubbish pile? The pre pro units that were seen by most folks have been through the wringer and to the floor a couple times based on the stories we have heard here. Until you or someone gets a new production unit lets just wait the couple of days. I think the sound is very nice from that vid. I have 4 Sou units on order. I want these to be nice.

That NS unit was on the show circuit, the rear handrail is missing due to that.  Like Specter3 said, let's wait to see actual photos of the actual released models.

Yep.  I'm grateful IMR made the 40/45T-2 but yes the cab always looked off and the details somewhat exaggerated and the shell construction over engineered.  I replaced mine with Atlas cabs

How well did the Atlas cabs fit and was there any mods necessary to either the cab or shell to install them?
