Yeah I will tonight..  Lately I've been thinking about refocusing my modeling, so they may be up for sale.. (caught by pre-order 2 years ago)..   I have all 4 numbers.. NIB.. no sound, no DCC..

I am purchasing an N&W one for evaluation as soon as it ships (October per IM, which I guess means early Nov).

I'm sure those couplers will need fixin.

Not much to complain about.. Paint match is pretty close to Atlas...
The only thing that stuck out to me.. -- Need to replace the 1016s with 1015s...
I didn't test run it since I'm likely going to re-sell..

Looks pretty good, will need to fill in the gaps between the trucks though other than that though looks to be a pretty good model.

Thank you for posting the photos!  A couple of things I noticed.  No cab signal box, grab iron on nose should be on opposite side, walkways should be black (huge oversight here IMO), horn is sitting on spru post rather than roof, HTC trucks (this was expected), cab vent on Fireman’s side should be at the front of the cab and the marker lights are really odd looking (not red and remind me of Walthers sight glass on their GP38-2’s).   A lot of this can be addressed by the modeler if they choose.  Otherwise, they look really really good.  Nice job IM.  Thanks.

Good catch on the horn/sprue. I was trying to put my finger on why it was hosed up.

Honestly I'm impressed. I've seen athearn box photograph more poorly.

I thought paint and lettering was really good.. (but you can't really screw up Conrail..).. Unless your Walthers..

Blue vs Black walkways wasn't a hard fast rule either but black was more common and blue was always weathered and looked dark..

Most annoying thing to me is the Horn, 1016 couplers... The HTC trucks can be cosmetically converted without too much trouble.

But overall much better than I expected...

I'm going to give IM a pass on the class lights:

They were, in fact, clear/silver. Conrail used a two color system - red for the rear of the train and green was to denote a second section I believe.

Phew!  No ditch lights!  The Intermountain shipping this month web page is wrong.  It says the CR ones have operating ditch lights.  Still working with my LHS on the order I put back way back when before my son entered college let alone graduated college.  Else I'll be shopping online.  Here's hoping they don't go too fast if the ball doesn't get dropped locally.
