I had put together I nice response and then realized I don't need to do anything, Atlas just needs to look at the Tangent car.

How much would Tangent charge for the artwork?  Where's Craig at?  :P

This is the only car I "need" from Atlas this year as it comes right off my train list though Waterloo.  Please get it right Atlas.  :)

Jason

While, I'm not the one who worked on this project, you do have my email Jason. I have been open to your help in the past and I would happily forward your email to get it fixed. No need to complain about it over four posts with no real guidance on how to fix it...

ps: I know you're still mad at me about the DSS&A PS-1. But we did make some people very happy with it!  8)

'Bout time on the rail joiner tool! But, alas, I can't make much use of it these days. I seem to have settled on a reasonable technique for using half-joiners, and they aren't nearly as obvious. More work, definitely, but I like the finished look.

I guess another advantage of half-joiners is they only go up half your fingernail. :scared:

The Rail Joiner Sidekick has been a little inside project that's been sitting in my drawing files for years. Was based on an idea Jarrett had.

Anyway, next 10 people (in the US) to message me with your address will get a free Rail Joiner Sidekick to try out.
They're all spoken for!

I thought you were in China.

The only reason I started thread was because I was exited for this car and wanted to express as much, but I feel in doing so I'm giving an endorsement to the accuracy of the car.  After looking at the artwork closer I was sorry I did that and felt I had to say something.  If I had checked the artwork first, I would have just contacted Atlas and left it off the forum.  My apologies for it happening the way it did.

As for guidance on how to fix it, it would take me a hour to put that together and I didn't have time last night.  But like I said, just get the Tangent artwork.  That's what Craig would be using and that's part of what made his product so good.

Hopefully it will get fixed, and hopefully there will be enough made to pick one up when they are released because I really want this car.

If you're not interested in using Tangent car, I'm certainly willing to help.

Jason

When/how can the rest of us get a Sidekick? Seems much safer than needle-nose pliers. :)

Joe D.
Try taking a piece of rail about 6 inches long. Bend it at a 45degree angle leaving about one half inch at the end before the bend then take a piece of half inch wooden dowel, drill a pilot hole in the end and drive it onto the long end of the rail. File a small taper on the short piece of track on the web of the rail and slide a new rail joiner on to apply to your track. Worked great for me on my SFRSD for years and I was using ME code 55. Saved a lot of stuffed fingers.

All you had to do was attend the NSE convention and you could have had one months ago!

I'd love to get a pair of those GP15's in G&W paint... might have to sell some stuff to make it happen.
