Rapido scanned a bus.

Rapido is doing a bus in HO scale and they decided to use a scanner again.  I don't want to rehash any earlier threads, but would like anyone who hasn't seen the scanning process to watch the Rapido video.

http://rapidotrains.com/rapido-bus/

The only thing I'd like to add to what is said in the video is that just because the scanner shows something, doesn't mean the final drawing will be the same.  It's still a person trying to copy a shape the best they can within the constraints of the drawing program.

Sounds like the first $100.00 HO model vehicle.

Very interesting... I'd be interested in one if It were made in the correct paint scheme  :)
(of course if it were 54.375% smaller I'd covet half a dozen  :D)

@rapidotrains hint hint nudge nudge  ;)

I saw that announcement and the kitschy-but-funny video yesterday. I wonder if they will do it in N scale too (sans the fancy lighting and steerable wheels).

Next they will need to produce scale pepole to put on the scale bus and scale passenger car.

Edit.. I didn't see chris's post until alter I posted mine.. looks like Korea is on top of it..

If we ever do the TRW business car with a botch and moan sound chip, we'll have to get 3d scale of TRW members to ride in the car.

I rode many of those busses as a youngster, I would think they would be a decent seller in N scale, as they fit in the era of a lot of models that Trainworx releases, and their stuff tends to get scarce after a while.

It might just be me, but 1960-1980 seems to be an N scale sweet spot.
I’m not here to argue

I rode those when going to High School. I had my Pupil pass and it only cost me a dime (regular fare 25 cents).
