FVM SD70ACE Issue

On a newly purchased FVM SD70ACE I am having an issue.  Running DC in FWD or REV between "crawl speed" and "very fast" the
mechanism squeals very loudly.  At ultra slow or  fast speeds it is quiet.

Also how do you get the shell off?  The normal method seems to require too much force....

SOLVED...

The "Drop" method works on this loco...

A touch of lube to the motor bearing shaft fixed the noise....

Which drop method was that? A drop of oil, or a drop on the floor?

It was new to me - but figured everyone knew - using the inverted "jewel case" lid to hold one end of the loco and then carefully
dropping pilot onto the edge.  After 1-2 trys the frame just falls out.

As in the video above!!!  :)

Me neither - but I tried every thing else on this loco - it is on there REALLY tight.
