Finished two more PBLW smoker lounge conversions, and one of the standard PBLWs with the American Cancer Society advertising.

Spent some time with the soldering iron and JMRI.  The result was a new panel that controls the entire operating upper level mainline.



Here, we see an M1a (used for testing) passing through Walnut Hill on its way to Colorado.

I am very impressed, Eric. Wasn't it just last week we got JMRI running? Looks great!

@C855B yup, it's been a quick transition. Having tasted the PanelPro nectar that is layout control, the idea of punching in turnout addresses on a throttle every time got old really fast. The whole Pi project was also motivated by the purchase of the hardware needed to finish detection/turnout control of the upper level anyway, so this is a logical progression.

Couldn't bring myself to ballast, so I started adding valances, fascia and ... draperies?

The next project has begun. A Santa Fe Big Hudson 4-6-4. Fvm drivers thanks to a good friend and a Kato gs-4 mechanism. I need to knock the flanges down a tad but I believe this is going to work. I'm thinking I'll be able to use the gs side rods also.

My example is base-on, the Norfolk Southern Railway's version.  They use an exSD-38 for their test car.   But, since I have a BOAT LOAD of BXX-7 parts, why not?
I also have too many MDC/Roundhouse Hi-Cube boxcars..

Essentially done with the Caliente Post Office; now for the building next door.  Here we see the basic structure along with the terraformed location:



Here we have a closeup of the building showing interior - it's occupied by ageing hippies:



Moving along nicely, roofs are shingled.  Waiting for corrugated for the canopy and a few other details.



It's a most interesting project thus far.
