Finished a CSX F unit.

Nice but I prefer it in gray and yellow...

I'll be posting more about this on the modelling forum in the next week or so.

That looks really sharp!

Oh, hi Mike, good to hear...
The wye is removable because it spans an isle with a 56" duckunder. The tail switch is fixed on the wall. For ops, the wye section can be put in place, but rest of the time I like to be able to walk around freely, especially during construction.
Earlier pic below.

Otto,
Thanks for the photo. I may have a similar scenario with a wye as well. Will be curious to see how yours works out. Again, thanks!

I made a little more progress on my kitbashed tractor factory.  The lighting is done and most of the interior details are finished.  I still need to add the background images for bay 4 and the large service door.  I also need to add the base and surrounding scenery.

Thanks @mighalpern
The whole structure is laser cut wood.  The walls are brick, the windows are acetate painted with a thin wash and then spot painted.
It started out as a Sugar Beet Refinery #2 module from Bergen National Laser (brick and concrete option)

I really like the random painted out window effect. Travelling by train into large industrial cities over the last 50+ years that is something I've always noticed.  Good catch!
Best regards,

Roger

Is it a flaw in the design of the structure that led to the sway in the roof, unintended circumstance or done with full intent?

Either way it sure adds character to the model. Reminds me of the old quarry building in Tiburon, CA.

@wazzou - it was "mostly" intentional as I model a fictional aging branch line.

Thanks @Roger Holmes and @tehachapifan

Managed to get brake gear and decals on my BCH caboose model. I'm dissatisfied with some artifacts in the paint that showed up while being decaled, but I batch mixed only enough of this colour for this model and two locos. It's important to me that they match so I won't be reprinting it. Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with it over all.

Great looking structure , Surrounding scenery can be simple but expensive .
