Leaving for Denver tomorrow AM. While the wife works...I have two days to do something...Any ideas?

Lot's you could do.  Hobby shops, museums, ride a train, watch some trains...

Caboose Hobbies is always on the list.  The Colorado RR Museum is really nice.  The Fourney Museum has a Big Boy and a few other pieces and has  a Mopar exhibit going on right now if you're into that.  Amtrak comes through twice a day and there's lots of action in the Denver area.

Yep, forgot about that.  Greeley is an hour from Denver if you want to plan for it.  The kids seemed to like it.  :P

I highly recommend the Greeley museum layout if you can work it in. I hit it two years ago on my way from Denver to Cheyenne and spent 3 times as long as I thought I would. It's an incredible layout.

The Colorado Model Railroad Museum in Greeley is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10am-4PM during the summer.   Usually noon-4PM Sundays.  www.cmrm.org

Doug is right. They let me put my shopping basket behind the counter while I walked down the street to get some lunch. Twice I have spent over six hours shopping. It's a candy store full of trains.

In Golden there is the Colorado RR Museum - and the Coors plant tour - which would be a good way to spend a day...

Not to mention that the admission to the Coors Tour gets you tickets for "free" beer.

Nah, just walk across the street and down a block to a great Mexican place with the best Margaritas in the whole country. They have the contest hardware to prove. Food was good too.
