I'm in the same boat. There aren't any ACI lables or really obvious dating features, so I'm going to run them with reckless abandon on my 1950 layout. This is a solid "it's my railroad, and I'll run what I want" situation.

These are cars I wish to get, but being on a fixed fortnightly income and the poor Aussie Dollar, the cost is extreme for us Down Under Modellers, I just hope I can get the money together and the order in before times up.

Mike was such a giving person.  One day an envelope full of Milwaukee Road decals showed up at my house.  These cars will help us remember his spirit and talents.  Thanks Rapido!

I was also a beneficiary of the "great Puddington decal giveaway." He announced on TRW several years ago he had stumbled upon several sets of decals he had purchased in the distant past, but no longer intended to use. Among them were decals for Chicago & North Western "Streamliner"-themed box cars. I PM'd him to say I was interested, and he sent 'em my way, refusing to accept any payment.

That was my one and only direct interaction with Mike. But it seems like it pretty well sums up the kind of guy he was.

And, like Jim, I had a phone call from my bank first thing this morning, asking if I had made the purchase.  Of course, since I seldom use my card, except for a limited number of locations, where I shop regularly, I've gotten those before. 

I ordered a bunch of decals from Microscale once, and both the bank and Microscale called, wanting to know if the order was legitimate.  Seems that MSD doesn't usually get orders for 30 sets, one of each kind, from individuals.  Hobby shops, yes, but most individuals apparently order fewer sets...
