Max, a question about your beautifully done rivets:
How do you prep the surface before laying them down? I've had some issues trying to get them to stay in place...

They stick "okay" on their own, but you are right that they are easy to disturb. After they initially dry, I hit them with one quick swipe of a brushful of Solvaset. If they are over styrene, that does the trick. Don't overdo it, as you can really start to melt things with Solvaset. One swipe of the brush is enough.
On the ones applied over brass or wood, I did the same thing. But they were not as durable on those surfaces. I just had to be careful not to scratch or disturb them until I got the paint over them. They are intended to be put on under paint. It's the paint that really ends up protecting them. And by the way, since I did that project, Archer came out with a sheet of circular rivet patterns. So I could have used those on the smokebox front instead of having to piece the circles together by applying Solvaset to little sections of straight rivets so I could nudge them around.
