Will a bachmann gp9 shell fit on a gp9 frame?

I got a bachman gp7 in the pennsylvania scheme. This is not fitting for what i model but i cant return it. So can i buy a gp9 shell from bachmann and putit on the frame or will it not work?

   Should work.
   but You may want to add GP9 Handrails if
   the unit is a late 54 to 59 built unit.
  early GP9s did have the GP7 Handrail Stantions.

Great thanks, I am going to get the Santa Fe Zebra Stripe frame, as pennsylvania isn't really one of my favorites. I already have two GP-7's one currently being made into a GP7-B from atlas, both of those run great.
