That's awesome! Thank you for sharing!  8)

Made a old tie load from balsa to fit an MT gon...

It looks like you used a soldering iron on the top of your gon. If your medium allows, try heating the car in very hot water and push something round in it to shape your dents. It'll be more subtle and look less like plastic melted with an iron. I strive to "hide my techniques" if you know what I mean.

BN is definitely a kickass railroad. I think it's my favorite of the western roads.

I actually used a nail that I heated up - didn't want the full power of a soldering iron for fear of melting it beyond repair or gumming up the soldering iron. I'll give the hot water a try... did you bring up to a full boil and dip it or something a little more subtle?

Jeff,
I brought it to full boil in an electric kettle before pouring it in some Pyrex.
It cooled off a little. Just needs to warm the plastic to assist in deforming.

Keep in mind my comments are very critical. Your gon is nice indeed.

I got these two finished up this week.  These are resin castings made by Gregg Scott and Joe Valerio of Northern Pacific's arch window coaches.

 Andrew,

I'm after several of these coaches and was wondering if you know of a way to contact them??
I am modeling an 80's ski train which had the rounded window config. and the coach you have looked outstanding!!

Thanks!!
