FYI, I just e-mailed Pat and requested the green and white SOO Line trailers come without the ACI panels. I also sent him two photos showing such.  So if you have an opinion either way, you may want to get your voice heard.  I also asked that the white SOO flat come without the pedestals installed (but still painted and in the box) unless they will be easily removed.

Had to amend my email to Pat.  Upon closer inspection, one of the pictures did have an ACI panel (you can't tell that's what it is from the angle of the picture but it must be based on other photos), and the other that has two trailers look like they had panels that were removed.

Well crap, I need a new timeline for these trailers... :x

Whew, glad I can skip this round. The wallet is sighing in relief after the scorching caused by UPS trailers, tractors, and then the BLMA 31K tankers.

These are all 60s-70s (except the TTX cars), right?

I may be wrong but I believe that TTX scheme is even in the 70's ED. All the trailers are 60's and 70's

I found some tidbits in the Morning Sun book and assuming they are correct:

Both Soo trailers are from 1972 (so obviously I hadn't look yet here this morning )

The Kroger trailer is as early as '67

They don't have the exact Seaboard trailer, but the Razorback logo and such can be seen in '66.

As for the flats, one thing to note is the SOO flat in the 54579 series were ex-SP flats which lasted into the 90's although modified by that time.

The ttx scheme would be starting in 1970 I believe.

Jason

Soo line 54579 was part of the Wisconsin Central series 54571-54589 (odd numbers only) and were bought new from Pullman Standard by the Soo in 1960.

The former SP cars were acquired in 1989 and were a mix of 85' and more modern 89' cars.

The TTX scheme would have been current from 1970 to 1991, but the 85' cars wouldn't have lasted in TOFC service past the 70s.

@jagged ben  - have you come across any photos of F85Bs in JTTX service after they were bumped from TOFC use? That I'd love to see!
