And what power unit do you sit the body on?

The same one as a flatcar uses .

It may not be as apparent in the photos as I had hoped but the two stair railings from the ground to the landing are level with each other and on the same pitch.
I built the railing at the back of the landing to match the height of the OEM railing on the balcony.

This may have been my mistake.

When I install the piece that's missing that will join the lower stair railing with the landing railing, they will not meet evenly.
I think the easiest solution will be to just build a new slightly taller landing railing.

Thank you for the suggestions.

The top set of stairs do not end at the mid deck edge . Those 2 steps on the landing is what is killing the rail/step equilibrium .

This one's for the carpenters out ..I built a landing and new railings at the end of the landing that match the height of the OEM railing and built the inclined railing from styrene to match the pitch of the OEM railing, but as can be seen in my photos, the diagonal railing at it's top is higher than the railing at the back/bottom of the landing.

This kind of crap bothers me.  How should I address this?

I would just emulate the upper landing to stair transition: run the top piece past the point where the first stair drops, clip the diagonal flush and install a second post where they meet. The modified stairs with the intermediate landing look great by the way, it's the fine details like this that give the structure life and proper scale. Great job!

Was able to move on one of my ongoing projects.

After many failed attempts and producing a 7 panel door from MTL doors, and that the Atlas door doesn't fit the IM car, I gave in and RP'ed it.

I also had my first test fit of the LN brake cylinder and valve.  The other side has the two air tanks.

I have some HO steam line and air/signal connections coming to see if I can scale them down somehow.  Can't believe there are none in N scale as I think most (all?) Steam engine tenders could use them.

Hopefully I can get this to paint sometime soon.

Just have to add the builders plates and it'll be ready for clear and then weathering.

I picked up $40 worth of used LGB and Aristo track that was in good shape at the Rocky Mountain Train Show today.  The RGS is about to get a passing siding!

The Southern and NW power brought a transfer run into Harold Yard and will head back out later in the day. The RS-3s are making up #86, the daily turn to the Green River Paper mill at Creedence, KY. The C420s in the foreground are the power for #86.

I spent this evening cleaning things up after spending last two weeks making trees.  Cleaned Hagerstown yard and found some dead feeders, using too small of wire for suitcase connectors.  Also have a couple of Peco electrofrog turnouts back to back that is causing a section of dead track. Have to wire some jumpers or something.  Also spent some time building my DigCom UPS Freight 53' trailers in advance of my Trainworx tractors showing up.

Playing some more in developing a protolanced railroad for when a basement comes along.  Whipped up two box cars today in the spare time I had.  Need to do some versions of the slogan for variety's sake but you get the gist...

The top one looks more "traditional", and would be my choice for an established railroad.  The lower one looks like a new image, and possibly name, for a once rundown line, trying to change its image.  I could see that one on an ex-PC or MILW line, where the new owners are trying to get past the lack of reliability over the past few years.

The top one wouldn't look out of place, with some weathering, in one of my 1974 BN trains, or new in the 1930s.
