Battle has been joined on the second module; the Domtar Packaging Containerboard mill module. Here's a rough drawing and some notes to get things started:



The east end of the module is home to a bridge over a flood plain. This is where the modules join. The track curves around a large hill; home to the castle that serves as the mill gues house; accessable by a classic wooden bridge.

Here are some pictures of the newly weathered SOO cars (I painted and decalled three white and one brown) carrying some of that fine Domtar Containerboard.







I love the guy at the SOO that made the call on white....... :lol:

The mill guest house is a 19th century castle; surrounded by trees one will barely be able to eventually see the digester building directly behind it.



Clearly there is work to be done but I needed the gully done before laying track so we attacked it late a few nights this week...

The module currently is in "FPO" state (For position only) as can be seen from these two photos





I know any railway worth it's bearing boxes hates and tries to avoid diamonds but I like this one - and oddly enough they are not altogether uncommon at an old mill where track as been relocated due to years of physical plant changes...

We're getting there... :D

An old HO tank; cut down the middle.... makes a passable white water tank....

Finished the Keystone Details FW1 car and load.
The FD2 depressed flat car section was "hot swappable" with the FW1. They shared the same trucks which was made from SPF tears and T1 tender trucks.







And for posterity...

Wrapped this up a week or so ago....









I took the recently released Atlas 40' Steel Rebuild and made a couple of changes to bring it a little closer to the prototype. Mainly the roof, roof walk and doors.

Hey Bryan (Wazzou)!  How many years ago did you send me this boxer?  I finally got it assembled and painted.  Bryan did an amazing job making sides for this NP war emergency boxcar and then casted them in resin. The rest is made from Intermountain parts.  I still haven't forgot about the log truck parts you asked about, Bryan.  Believe it or not I haven't been to GHQ in a couple of years.  I have lunch with Gregg on a regular basis but have not gotten the stuff.

@daniel_leavitt2000 the bottom pic of the depressed flat with generator is the QM.
 I believe there was also a parlor car on the PRR that was also named the Queen Mary.
