Need opinions on boxcar weathering

1. Can you guys see the images below?
2. I am trying to realize this car in it's 1954 - 1957 glory. I didn't see a lot of Shadow Keystone cars heavily weathered in the 50's so I didn't want to overdo it.
3. Did I make the roof too sooty?

I like it.  The roof could get that dark in one trip from Pittsburgh to Enola if it was behind the M1.

Is it the fade that turns the white lettering yellow?  Just curious.

So, the lettering...
It was sprayed with a very thin rust color.
Should I remove the fade form the lettering?

I wasn't having a good time finding "just right" weathered proto photos.

I see the images on my computer:Win XP running User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 SeaMonkey/2.33.1) but I have no comment on the weathering.  :)

I would clean up the lettering- then dullcote.  Those are nice looking cars btw.
