Wow, that laser cut bridge turnout nicely.  Kudos for your use as a fill-in module.  What luck on the way it fits!

Nice caboose there Pud and Bruce, those T-Track modules are outstanding. I'd really like to get a T-Trak group going around these parts.
As for me, after last weeks embarrassing paint faux pas, the cab was stripped and repainted, decals applied and sealed, and more details added. Some weathering and final detailing will finish up the shell.

Also milled the frame and started work on the Loksound Micro and speaker install.

Angle, lighting, weathering, the model... at first glance I thought this was a prototype reference shot. Ken Patterson has nothing on you. Good stuff.

In between my NS projects and customer builds I've been working on CR 5987 for my just because conrail roster.

The blue is from my minds eye - the images I've found are all of badly faded examples. I will just have to live with it.... This little guy (and two more to be made like him) will most definitely help place the scenes as early 70's Canada and I'm thrilled to have them finally done. One will be right where it is on the layout while two more will be TOFC material.

It was a fun week! :D

If my memory is worth anything, you nailed the blue on the Caravan truck. I'd forgotten those ever existed until I saw your post, but they were everywhere back then, weren't they!

That Rock loco is REALY nice. Who's MU connections did you use?  I thought maybe BLMA but they look more 3D.

Thanks for the encouragement guys....

I've just finished the scenic divider for behind the tunnel. Whatever I put there had to be easily removable because I need to get in and have free access to connect the joiner track yet I wanted to hid the break.... I came up with a cliff face.

I used Woodland Scenics molds, joined three castings together and then adhered them to 0.40 styrene and a wooden/foam base that fits the space. The rocks were coloured, decorated and trees planted. The right hand 1/r of the casting was then cut off and adhered to the backdrop. A piece of backdrop was glued to the back of the casting frame and the casting was set in place above the tunnel portal, easily removable.

I like the overall look; adds some "grandeur" to the entrance and covers up a multitude of sins....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

It should look pretty sweet with the other 2 I have planned to run together. I may model modern NS but it's hard to resist the allure of big blue:

I just noticed that Bob is using foam paint brushes as painting handles! I'm so excited about that idea. My current method is terrible. I'm going to Home Depot now.

working on some scenery to break up the monotony of the backdrop painting/foreground painting (driving me nuts!) here is my semi botched stream scene. more in my layout thread.
