I made a few fall trees for a T-Trak module I am building,I used Basil seed heads from the garden.

 

Wow those look amazing, and I love the idea of growing my own trees!  Considering the price they cost for nice ones, it's really like having a money tree.  Oh, I slay me.  Sorry.

Those seed heads,...  is that the entire tree that you see or are they the bits attached to your armature?

I soaked them in matte medium and then used Scenic Express real leaves (Late Fall) These are Oregano seed heads not basil.

Zero stretching is always turned off on BANTRAK's DCC system. It slows down loconet. Analog DC is always available by switching the jumpers on our switchboxes. Ed knows that.

I didn't know about it being turned off.

But I did know we could switch, however, I was sharing the track and running DCC...

Working on Bacon Creek, OK on the B side of the BNSF Red Rock Sub. Love it, half day gives
me some rail time. This was the golden grasses of Colorado before and now really looks like
like a winter tree line in Oklahoma.

+1. Incredibly evocative of the area. I railfanned in eastern Oklahoma in late winter a couple of times chasing the soon-to-be-history Frisco, and Chuck really captured the bleakness that pervades the region that time of year.

OK, so I have to ask.  What did you do to get the green tinted glass for the insulators on the telephone poles? (in N scale)

You guys make me nuts when you create one of these scenes that is so real, I could swear I have stood there.  Beautiful work.  I'm still at the "paint it black and maybe no one will notice" stage.

Those are handmade poles, in my Layout Engineering Report, I describe how to make them and
what they are. Small craft beads in metallic green.

Not in LER. I did it in a weekend update from November 2014.
