To continue the original post, another downtown Chicago SW-1. I shot this on April 10-1976. Seems PC did a quick patch over the two SW-1's.

That's some hot 1970s railroad action in your picture.  Nice!  But, sadly, some of that (e.g., Amtrak P30CH No. 715) didn't live to see 1980:

   is that PC Van behind the SW1 a pig trailer or Flexi-Van ?
  NS Lackawanna unit looks good,still havnt seen any of the
  Heritage units yet.
   and believe the ex-C&NW PS-4750 was Green,not blue when
  in service,the blue looks like later shop applied touch up paint.

Here was car from few years ago, could be either but I'm sticking with blue.  Found some other CNW photos with cars in that close number range that were blue.
