At this weekend's Vancouver Train Exposition, modelers were treated to a "Virtual Layout Tour" of four local layouts. Sitting in the grandstands of the Forum on the Pacific National Exhibition fair grounds, an estimated 40 to 50 attendees grabbed bags of popcorn, kicked back with their friends, and watched videos recently shot on these 4 layouts all projected in high resolution onto a large screen.
One of the videos was of a local HO model of steam on the Coquihalla and Princeton subdivisions of the CPR ( and as described in his "Coquihalla Man" blog at
http://kettlevalleymodelrailway.blogspot.ca/) . The video features steam "pusher" operations recreated from details gleaned from conversations "CM" has conducted over the years with many men and women who fired and worked on, or lived beside, the prototype line.
I hope you enjoy the ride!
