1980s Kato RSD trucks transplant query

I am wondering if anyone knows whether Atlas Kato made 1980s RS3  RSD4/5 RS11 RSD12 trucks could be transplanted into the range of Kato  electrics that Con-Cor imported for a while?

Doesn't fit the PA as the gear tower is a bit different.
 
Odd query but I'm trying to utilise the RSD truck for TT scale purposes and looking for mechs that might space them out a bit longer.

Sorry you didn't get an answer to your Q.

But your question assumes someone out there has both.

Why not ask if anyone has any Kato electrics.
Then see if they might show you what the truck looks like.

A visual shot of a truck may be all you need to make a very educated guess.

I have the Kato electrics, and the RSD, but don't know if they will work together.  I've never had the two old electrics, an EF-15 and an EF-57, the Con-Cor model, apart.  I did take the trucks apart to have the flanges turned, but was afraid to try to take the frame out of the body.  Thus, I have no idea if the RSD trucks will go in.

The frames are held in by the windows, as far as I can tell, and after trying to get them apart by prying, I'm afraid I'll break them.  Repainting into MILW colors was done by very carefully masking the trucks and windows.

Since the early RSD and RS3 trucks were interchangeable, if someone has the electric and the RS3, they could also answer the question.

You can also add the Atlas/Kato RS11 to the compatibility list as those trucks were also interchangeable with RS3.

There are several Kato locos where the transparent windows piece is used as a fastener of the shell to the frame.  I usually stick 4 toothpicks inserted between the chassis and the window piece to release the latches.

But you aren't separating the "glass" from the shell - you are placing the toothpick between the metal chassis and the latches molded inot the "glass" pieces.  I doubt that Kato would have glued the "glass' to the metal chassis.  I also doubt that Kato somehow permanently attach (glue) the shell to the chassis. That would preclude any possible servicing.

Yes, I know how it's done, and have done it on other Kato locos.  But these never would come apart.  The first is from Con-Cor, so they may have done something.  As for the second, who knows, but it doesn't want to come apart.
