WOT bulkhead flats

I havnt seen any posts on Matt's recent release for us SP modelers...
The 50' bulkhead flat, aka SP's F-70-26
So heeere they are!
First cars to hit my freshly painted trackage at Eugene Yard:

Nicely detailed cars overall, not much underframe detail (I dont care), body mount couplers, and nice crisp lettering.  I had the wheel fall off the axle on a couple of the cars, but was able to snap it back into place.  The trucks say BLMA, but not sure whose wheel sets to tag them as...  I'll be swapping resistor wheels out from my now retired Micro Train bulkhead flats that these cars are replacing anyhow, so adds to the surplus of wheel sets for now.

My recommendation is for everyone to go out and buy a 10 pack of these cars.... to ensure that They prosper well, therefore following up with their proposed release on the standard  F-70-16 SP painted flat, as well as their PC&F Evergreen boxes.   :D

They are nice, aren't they? I bought one but will now hunt down at least a half dozen more.

I got a few, but pre-ordered more of the non-bulkhead version.  I would get more if I had more money to spare.  Anyone who wants to let some go for less than retail let me know.     Hopefully this isn't the only run.

Haven't they only done a single road number for the non-bulkhead flats?

They did one that was a one-of-a-kind prototype paint scheme.   The run with the typical paint schemes hasn't arrived yet.

Has it been announced?  Where do you have them pre-ordered?  Those are what I've been waiting for.

I must have been smoking something.  I thought the regular flats had been announced but I must have been thinking of the 'pre-announcements.'

Hopefully the real announcement comes soon.

Jeff, nice yard! Code 40 all the way! Time for some ballast and dirt :D
I assume the cars are Code 40 friendly, right?
Best, Otto

I picked up three.  One of the bulkheads already snapped off....not sure how as they arrived in one piece, were inspected and put back into their cases.  Oh well, a little CA will fix it right up.

The underbody detail is very minimal (not that I care).  The deck is really thick.  I hoping heavy weathering minimizes that look.  I had hoped the decking on the bulkheads was removable, so I could remove boards, etc, like so many of these cars looked.  Oh well.  They are great runners and in a train full lumber loads, will look great.

Received my 10 pack of SP w/ACI the other week. I'm trying to refrain from getting the other 10 pack of F-70-26s as I'm sure once I do WOT will announce the F-70-16s and I'd like to get those and still have room for F-70-43s  :D.
