EL Business Car # 2 for sale

Ozark Mountain Railcar is advertising EL business Car # 2, which they are referring to as "Phoebe Snow" for $360,000. Interesting the timing, considering NS just repainted SD-45 #1700 in EL colors.

I could probably come up with $360.  Now, if only I could find 9,999 other folks to go in with me....

I just checked the math.  You'd only need 999 more to match your $360.  You're closer than you thought !

Maybe it's a good day to spring this on Robyn... we have a private varnish special coming through town.

I can hear it now, "I want one!" Save your pennies, dear. ;)

Mike, haven't you already spent about that much on your railroad and real estate empires?

Fery vunny. Sure seems like it, though.

We actually DID have the conversation on the way back from chasing the train. She actually said "Well, isn't that about what a large Winnebago costs these days?" I explained to her that business cars are the most collectible since they're designed to be self-contained. But then I quickly told her that "buying it is just the beginning of the enormous costs."

Fun to dream, however. We didn't win the Powerball last night, so that took care of the notion.

Apparently you've never played a chart written by Don Ellis who love 11s and 13s.   :D
