Just noticed that Bachman has K4 loco and tender shells available.

Interesting. Those aren't  really parts, just some pieces. Looks like they knew to stock drivers though  ;)

Exactly! If I were an SPF, I'd buy a ton of this stuff!
I might want to buy a set of drivers anyway. Anyone know what actual diameter and fixed wheel base they scale to? Suspect nowhere near proto 80"?

that was discussed in another thread, not sure which. but it was said that the diameter was around 74" in N scale w/o flanges but with flanges it was around 80"

I measured:  73" tire, 80" counting flanges.  166.4" driver wheelbase. (plus or minus some for my cheapie digital micrometer).

Grabbed me a set.  Thanks for the link!   I want to examine them for myself and see if they might be
useful for a light Pacific of some sort one day.

More parts are up now. Including pilot and trailing trucks and the motor.  No tender trucks though unless you buy the whole tender frame for $80.  :scared:

Looking at the parts diagram PDF's is interesting as well. They put a LOT of parts in this thing.  Including separate engineer's and fireman's seats in the cab.
