I came close to funding at least a part of Bedford on copper wire, but at only $2/lb my 20lbs just barely got me enough to cover my share of lodging costs. (And most of the wire came from my basement, which has no compressor.)

I think I got one of them propel cans around here somewhere....
I just don't know if my hand can deal with having to push and pull a button at the same time. Dollars to donuts that it'll be too finicky for my anxiety to handle. But at $15 I figured it wouldn't break what's left of the bank if I ended up just throwing it against a wall.

Ok, so I didn't remember it correctly.  It was about 10 years ago.  Maybe the fussy reassembly of the Testors/Aztek nozzles bothered him.  For whatever reason, he is back to a Badger.  He finds it easier to maintain (clean).

Cody:  no airbrush is just point and shoot.  If you want that you need to stick with aerosol paints and brush-painting.    There are much simpler airbrushes out there (like the Badger model 200) I have been using for 30-odd years, but they all require some maintenance at some point in time. Otherwise they will give you fits when they start misbehaving.  However on a positive note, they can produce stunning paint jobs and you can spray any paint and any color through them (even ones you custom-mix).

Airbrush is just another tool in the arsenal of modeling tools. You buy it and you learn how to use it properly. It is a bit more complex than a screwdriver.

you'll do fine.  Slow and steady is the way to go.  Practice on some scrap first.

And ask your Jag mechanic if he can fill a portable air tank for you.  Those are often cheap to pick up.

Heck, I know people that have used a regulator with a moisture trap connected to a tire filled with air from the service station. 
Is this the ideal long term solution, of course not, but it works for a while.

Hell, for $15 it's worth the roll of the dice.
I seem to remember needing to use a high flow nozzle to paint model car bodies and it still seemed too small a spread for me. The siphon feed was not ideal for me. Then I got pissed at how short the cans lasted. Then the damn thing just stopped working.

That's why my next airbrush was an Iwata Eclipse gravity feed. It was also nearly 10 years later when I was fully employed.

No, I didn't.  I'm not much into movies and while I saw the original Ghost Busters, it was back when it first came out (in the 80s?).  LONG TIME AGO!   But now that you refreshed my memory I see what he did there. 

But I can still quote many timeless classics like Spaceballs, Airplane, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein among others.   I guess Ghostbusters wasn't as memorable for me.   But for example Monty Python is.
