I'm meeting my wife for lunch near MBK this afternoon, and I've been eyeing up a pair of the new Atlas PC GP40s.

Someone talk me out of getting them.

Like that would actually work . . . .  :facepalm:

Tell you what, you can buy them IF you pick a weekend before September to host a join operations/weathering with Vodka session.  And not the same weekend as Bedford.

@Ed Kapuscinski will tell you vodka - especially really cheap vodka - is a great weathering medium.  Having seen the outcome of this method, I tend to agree.

I have always thought PC was a terrible railroad, always hated it. That said, even I would pick them up at the right price, which MBK always has, so don't ask me to do that. ;) 

I think the "don't buy it" speech works as well on MR guys as the "Just say no" and abstinence talks work on teens......besides, I don't think MR should be some Victorian era test of denying yourself for some unknown reason.....Of course, I doubt any more than 1% of this forum truly has the heart - or moral fortitude/authority - to talk anyone out of their next purchase.
