My cars (red CK) just arrived, and they are nice. So far I'm impressed with the BLI offerings I have, the H2a and now the H32 are winners, but I haven't run them yet. The K7 should be nice as well. This gives hope that the M1 and BH-50 will be quality models, apples and oranges I know. Just wished they offered the cars as singles.

I bought a 4 pack of all 4 PRR schemes and both PC schemes. They shipped to day. I will have extras.

Got mine. A unique prototype so I had to have one.
Nice but a little disappointing - the ladders on the ends seem a bit crude compared even with the Trainman PS2. Check out the brake wheel.
The couplers are MTL knockoffs. I had to force one end to get it to couple to the BLMA car. Maybe it needs some graphite.
I'm disappointed with the contour of the faces of the wheels - a probable upgrade will come once I know what axle length BLI is using.
Here's some pics:

Careful Mark, you migth be considered nicpicky (even though it is TRW). I made similar comments about another car (that was was in a test-shots stage) and my commments weren't well received.
I agree that some details (you mentioned) are rather crude - but it seems to have a photoetched (not plastic) roofwalk. That makes everything else ok.
I got one of those (friend bought the multi-pack and split it up) but I haven't received mine yet.

I'm pretty well known to be nit-picky
Yes, the roofwalk is etched metal.
The service date is 1962 on this car, eventually I'll weather it a bit and it'll fit nicely in my early 70s layout.

and brake wheel, trucks, and couplers should be easy enough to replace if desired, but yeah the bar is ever rising.

Compare it to a FVM H30.
Brake wheel is the same as the pre-production photos.

Forgive me for not knowing, but I haven't ever seen any photos of these in Maine, what did the prototype haul and how far away from the PRR/PC/CR did they roam?

I had to replace the wheels. The stock ones are very wide and narrow in gauge. The Fox Valley H30's have finer details.

Does anyone have a red CK to sell?
Or, does anyone know a dealer who sells these individually?
I really can't justify more than one on my layout (if that), but really want to have such a unique car...

I tried mine today and first thing was that I lost a wheelset. Could not find it on the floor, so I replaced one truck with FVM 3310, they slipped right in the truck.
Does anybody know which type of truck this is?

Pretty sure it's a Symington 70T truck.
