There was a Spirit of Youngstown and a Pride of Youngstown on EL. Is this car one of those?

I can confirm that the cars were shipped to distributors last week so they should be showing up quite soon.

MBK is sold out on the CSX, and has 6 of the CR in stock as of 6am 2/14/2015

Those two projects were exclusives of Portman Hobby Distributors (they commissioned us to do them) Portman supplies a wide range of stores so if your LHS doesn't have these suggest they call the fine people at Portman to see if there is anything available.

I haven't gotten notice yet, but I will call Portman on Tuesday. For all I know, they may be en route here already.

It's usually about 3-4 days to get a shipment to Portman... call them Tuesday and let me know.

I checked the ESM P.O Box a little while ago, and there was an invoice there.  They didn't have a street address to ship to, so I will send a check today and call on Tuesday.  Shipment should arrive in a couple of days because Peekskill NY is only an hour or so up the Thruway from me.  So ESM orders should be ready for shipment before the end of next week.

Chris.
These are all the same car.

You are looking at a pictorial history (though obviously not in the order shown).

The car at present is still running on CSX in Dark Future.

But I for one love Bright Future better.

Is there an ETA for the two tone green Erie version for those of us trapped in the 50s?
Tom D.

I gave up rivet counting when I couldn't see an N scale rivet anymore.

All US road cars have been shipped to US distributors and Canadian stores last week. I can't speak for the various distributors schedule to ship to individual stores.

It is indeed.  A real (and quite rare given that there were not a lot of the 10-5s to begin with and rarer still were those like these cars) survivor.

Mr. Puddington,
Thanks for the update.  I think I can wait a few days until they make it to the shelves.  Been looking forward to having one of these.

Does anyone know offhand what routes the CN 10-5s ran on in the 1950s?  (wondering if I have a good excuse for picking up a couple in CN when those come out)

TO ALL WHO PRE-ORDERED THE OCS CARS THROUGH ESM:

Spoke with Portman Hobbies today, the cars were shipped to ESM at the end of last week.  They should be here no later than Wednesday.  PayPal invoices will be sent as soon as the cars arrive, and cars will be shipped the next business day after payment is received.
