Now that is a great idea. Much easier than going through pages and pages of this thread or through the "wonderfully easy to browse" Shapeways store.

Do you have plans to add any 1930s-early 1940s (pre-war) USA autos/trucks?

Funny, I also recall asking for more contemporary USA vehicles.   :)

Apologies if I duped your post. I recently picked up three Road Apples/Lineside 1930s vehicles from eBay for what I consider was a bargain price (1939 Ford, below). The detail isn't that great IMO, but as background vehicles I guess they'll suffice. I'm liking the look of 3-D printed vehicles.

Nothing to apologize for here.  :)
Actually it looks like you've missed my point.  You would like to see more older ('30s - '40s) vehicles, where others (like me) are pining for contemporary ( '90s - present) vehicles.  One thing we have in common is that we would like to see American prototype vehicles. But I also understand that RAIL N SCALE is based in Europe, so I can see why they favor vehicles from that area.

Have any of you guys seen Island Model Works' 3D-printed NYC MTA subway cars? It's prohibitively expensive for me to buy 8 shells and the associated Tomix drive unit, not to mention paint and decal them (some decals are even OOS), but I have to think someone has. Perhaps someone here? I'd love to see video of modern fleet (R160 etc.) in N scale. It might just get me to start a xmas account for these. ;)

Hi,

Actually we do sell some (not so many I agree) American car models: Ford Model T in various versions, Ford Escort USA, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wagoneer. Furthermore many Volvos and Mercedesses were around and are suitable for US Layouts too.

This time I'd like to show a British car.

Lotus Seven (Era III-IV)
The Lotus Seven is a well known mini sportscar. The car was produced by Lotus between 1957 and 1972. After Lotus ended the production Caterham and other companies started to produce the Seven as kit or as fully assembled car. The kit contains the car and its enthusiastic driver. Models are delivered unpainted.

Two different kits are available:
N2124 - Lotus Seven (Left hand drive) N 1:160

U2124 - Lotus Seven (Right hand drive) British N 1:148

More information: https://railnscale.com/2018/10/31/lotus-seven/

Best regards,
Maurice

Latest news about upcoming price increase at Shapeways
As we have reported previously, Shapeways will implement drastic price increases. In the meanwhile products printed in WSF and FCS are now prices according the much higher pricing regime.
Shapeways has been post-poning the price changes of FUD/FXD printed items due to internal pricing algorythm issues. As a result the majority of our portfolio has not yet been impacted by the expedted huge price increase (in general 3 times higher!)
– It is expected that Shapeways will raise the prices of the FUD/FXD items in a couple of weeks. So mid February everything will be a lot more expensive!

We will expand our portfolio at DM-Toys. DM-Toys will not offer larger (bonus) sets.  That means that if you are interested in RAILNSCALE (bonus) sets, I advise you to order these products as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Maurice

Hi,

I am happy to announce the following novelty.

Lada Niva 1600 (Era IV-V)
The Lada Niva 1600 (VAZ-2121) was designed for villagers and farmers of the former Soviet-Union that lived in rural areas. Althought the Niva is a very capable 4×4 the vehicle is fitted with a passenger car like body. It was the first VAZ that was not based on an existing Fiat model. The Lada Niva is a very popular all terrain vehicle and is still in production. The shown model is a replica of the initial version (1976-1994). Model is delivered unpainted.

More information can be found here: https://railnscale.com/2019/03/22/lada-niva-1600/

Best regards,
Maurice

Hi,

Meanwhile the lorry with trailer sets are available two. They come in two forms:

N2821 - SET Volvo F10 6x2 Flatbed with tarpaulin with trailer

This unpainted kit is available via Shapeways. This kit needs to be cleaned before painting.

N2181D - SET Volvo F10 6x2 Flatbed with tarpaulin with trailer including Deutrans decals

This unpainted kit is available via DM-Toys. These models are already cleaned and therefore 'ready to paint'. This kit includes "Deutrans" decals.

At request 1/148 versions of kit N2831 can be created.
