I just added some more black to my ballast mix to make it look more like cinders.  There is no roadbed,
so the tracks sit lower to the ground.  This is more of an example of a compact scene than perhaps you
were looking for.
I don't have room for a turntable, but I was able to fan out through some turnouts and still get 4 stalls.
The roundhouse is obviously the tried and true Heljan/ConCor, with 2 stalls hacked off.

I still want to dirty up the whole scene.  The ground needs coal and oil spills and just plain old "dirt" and junk
piled up.  But functionally, it works well.  It's all DC, and the power-routing of the turnouts automatically
takes care of turning power on and off to whichever stall you want to move a train in or out of.
