Atlas Code 55 Switches

Hey

Anyone seen the Code 55 Switches yet?  The post on the Atlas page says September Delivery, but my LHS hasn't seen them on the usual distribution sources.  Just wondering...working on a display for a show in November and would like to grab a bunch of them.

Somebody said something somewhere about the first batch being en route, but just #5's. Further comment was made about expecting long lines at the gas pumps LHSs.

I saw plenty of curved turnouts at my LHS last weekend.  I believe they were newly arrived, but I could be wrong.

Curved turnouts were never in short supply since hitting the market. Since they were later production but just before things went to hell, I suspect Atlas over-produced to be sure to not end-up in the same pickle. That, or they overestimated the demand. Either way, curved switches weren't a problem - it was everything else.

<thread drift>I have a few places in the plan where curved would be a space-saver, but the inside radius of the Atlas switch (15") is too far under my 24" mainline spec and, at minimum, would be a restricted-speed pinch point. Even then, I'd be sure to have something custom in the fleet that just couldn't handle 15". I'd love a 36"/24" switch, but that ain't gonna happen unless I build it.</thread drift>

I can assure you that is not the case.  I personally unloaded that container with the warehouse guys.
