If only they weren't on those butt-ugly ACe units.

Hey watch it.  I'll take an ACe over a Gevo anyday.

Well... I was thinking along the line of a C-636 over either.  But the GEVO still looks cleaner to me than a SD70ACe.  Between that big notch on the nose and the way the radiators just stick out there, just gets me the wrong way.  But we're all different.  Thank goodness.

I'll take any Alco over most of todays diesels.  Years ago before widecabs it was nice to see a GE unit on PC/Conrail as EMD ruled the roost.  Today I would rather see an EMD, preferrable an older SD40-2, GP38-2, etc than a GE.

If we're dreaming, I'd like to see a matched set of BN F7s.  I won't be greedy and ask for GN Empire Builder!

Ever see a matched ABBBBBA set on a freight?

Even stranger was the AB-C415-BA set a few days later...all in BN paint.  In the late 70s BN in the Northwest sometimes looked more like the 50s.

Late 60's/early 70's...B&O would run a mix of schemes and power....sunrise geeps, with A's and B's mixed in sporting old and the newer plain schemes along the Philadelphia extension.
