BLI H2A Hopper Final Production Sample Photos on Facebook

Broadway Limited Imports has posted final production photos of the N scale H2A hoppers on their Facebook page.  I copied the address, so I hope this works.

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.847746551911838.1073741851.149864068366760&type=1

If it doesn't, go to: www.broadway-limited.com and hit the "Follow us on Facebook" in the upper right side of the home page.  Scroll down to 8/20/14 and enjoy.  It states an October delivery.  I am going to bite on all 18 PRR cars as they work for my second era: 9/57 PRR.  Ride height and detail looks good.  Thank you.

They look very pretty! I'm in for one six pack of the small N&W.
I'll probably end up swapping most of those out with other road names, as I really only 'need' one or two.
Same deal with the H32. I'm hoping peeps on the 'wire will be interested in buying/selling extras, I ordered 2 four packs of H32.

Did they ever talk about the trucks they were going to use? The trucks in the pics look awesome!

The trucks are new tooling along with the cars.

I want one of the 24" lettered cars, otherwise I'd take you up on your offer.

They look good! Are the CSX/NS car accurate? Would there be Conrail versions floating around?

I cannot believe that the CSX or NS cars are accurate, but anything is possible.  Conrail did not have any I am certain.  The PRR leased these for ten years from the N&W from 1957 to 1967.

Yup.  The lettering grew 7" by 1956.  8)

Really.. It's all over a lousy inch.. because if the SW1500 has taught us anything.. 6" is barely noticeable  if proportioned correctly.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but the CSX and NS cars are TOTAL Foobs!...

The schemes have 21st century hallmarks (i.e. idiot stripes)

If they were owned by those roads they would have been scrapped or moved to MOW Service by then.. And they would have likely floated around in older schemes...

I don't think CSX has ever painted an open hopper Blue.. **I FORGOT THE CSXT Cars had NYC Reporting marks***...
OK... THIS

Does not Equate to this:

And NS had the logo over the ribs in earlier schemes.. (Rib splits seem to be a modern thing) (and they probably ran around in NW schemes)

If you want to grab the Prototypical 'modern' crowd, "NW", Southern, Chessie, SBD, L&N would have been much more plausible choices..

But then again.. Conrail did have a 2 bay hopper in Oxide Red.. and (at least one) Blue Boxcar.. so who knows..

So, the small N&W is pre 1956?

These cars were everywhere on NS.

Probably true...

But this:

Isn't This:

Oh Never mind..   The only way to influence the production of this stuff is to not buy it... Then "N scale doesn't sell".. Then MFG backs out and sticks to HO scale.. because apparently.. HO scales will buy anything...   Blahh! ~Ian

But if you don't buy it and 'support' BLI they will have a massive marketing fail and will come to the certain conclusion that there's no N scale market.  That being said, they would be partially right - there's likely no N scale market for expensive 6-pack foob releases - but it will keep them from ever releasing another N scale product again.

The GN cars are a laugh.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

iAhh.. as Exactrail has learned and so shall Broadway.. "the N market is different, and difficult"   :D

However.. I do applaud them for doing... SOMETHING.... in N...  I hope the M1, Centipede, and H32 does well for them..
and I hope the N&W guys show them love with the H2A (Do the correct models and ignore the super foobs and you'll do fine)..

And I will support them when they announce / produce something I want.... Niagara Niagara Niagara Niagara Niagara Niagara Niagara!!!! :)

Surely there's enough PRR & N&W modellers to not need foobs?

And B&O.  I think those three are the only prototypical roads for the model.

Nope, NS never owned any, but, then you're talking about the fake NS  :D
