As many of you already know, here at Cutting Edge Scale Models we are almost ready to release our Southern Pacific TEBU! We have been working on this for several months now, and we are going to be accepting pre-orders on September 15th 2014. We plan to ship the units by October 15, 2014.

We have started this thread to provide forum members periodic updates on the progress made on this project, and announcments when we are ready for pre-orders and when we are shipping. We will plan to update this forum once every Saturday.

Happy Modeling!

I just noticed something - dcutting has at least 2 posts here, but only shows 1 post made.

Hmm... just how accurate
is my post count...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Before
I invest much time searching for pairs of Atlas GP40-2 and/or GP40R locos to become 'slug mothers'.

SP GP40-2 (7940-7959)
http://espee.railfan.net/spgp40-2.html
SSW GP40R (7960-7967)
http://espee.railfan.net/sswgp40r.html

Question to the manufacturer. Do you plan to release those SP specific 'slug mother' details at a future time to complete the usual lash up? Realistically I can tap my Sunrise, Moloco, Intermountain and BLMA parts but I would prefer to jealously hoard those Sunrise SP light packages if I can. I really want a nice set for 'LA hauler' service even though they seldom visited except for test drives after maintenance or repairs...

Link not working?

Try it on e-explorer. It doesn't seem to work on chrome.

That brings up a huge rant from me. It is silly to design websites which are happiest on IE (which in itself is a huge security risk and should not be used for Internet browsing in the first place).

Also to me that website is a bit heavy on scripting as this is what I see when I first visit  http://cescalemodels.wix.com/cesm#!tebu-n/c1i60 with the NoScript add-on enabled (as it always is) in my browser.  Amazing, isn't it?

Any chance of doing these in HO as well? Definitely interested.

Chris
Attempting to model a modern Southern Pacific based in 2015/2016...

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...

It works for me on Firefox and IE. My bank's website doesn't even like Chrome.

Chris

I have put some consideration into doing an HO version of these, and I think it looks like a good option for the near future, but it is in the middle of my long list of priorities. The thing that would encourage me to do this locomotive the most is if I could somebody to send me a bowser U25B to use for the conversion. This is what ryan_wilkernson did when he requested that the TEBU be made a few months ago, and now we are almost finished. So, if you have a U25B that you would be willing to lend me, I would be most appreciative. PM me if you are interested!
