I model the late 70's but still will have a few of these because the model is awesome  8) Anybody know if they had similar cars in the late 70's?  http://www.athearn.com/newsletter/082214/12_N_LPG_Tank_Car_082214.pdf

Closest I could find on Railcarphotos... seems back then the offset walkway was popular. This type (offset) seemed very common to me in the late 1980's, which would make this particular car of great interest to me:

Very glad to see more of these.

Me too, even if only a couple are era-relevant for me.   But what happened to the batch that was announced 6-7 months ago?   I went to Athearn's site to compare the Procor cars and those don't even show up anymore.   Did they get cancelled?

No, they arrive Mid-September

You have to search, they have them mis-keyworded or something.

OK, good...thanks.   I had four of that run on order versus probably one (or zero) of this one so I was hoping that they were still in the works.

Here's a link for anyone that might be looking for the older announcement (that should be out mid-September).

Unfortunately, even the oldest of these are about 4-5 years too new for me.  Too bad because I really love all of the Athearn products I've purchased.  I'm modelling 1989-1990 at the latest.  :(

Those cars are beautiful. I really wish they were good for '85.

You are far more disciplined than I, Ed. 1987-89 is my primary interest, and I've a nice fleet of these Athearn cars... I can live with the guilt  :D

I may have to copy you.  On a few of them the reporting marks are so small I doubt even with my young eyes I could see the '94'!  :)

These are wonderful cars.  I am glad to have several on my roster.

Athearn frustrates me to no end but these cars make up for it, some.
