Rapido Osgood Bradley Car update

In another thread there were some speculative comments about the progress on the N scale Osgood Bradley cars so I thought I'd update y'all on these.

Jason has just returned from China where he saw and was working on the first samples off the test molds. The cars look good, but have some issues.... namely "rivets" (Feel free to add your own rivet counter joke here) The very small rivets on the roof line are challenging so we are making some changes to the design to accomodate these small details that are important to the car's appearance.

I have been told that I will have a sample on my desk within a couple of weeks. We'll make final chnages and have final production samples by December. Our plan is to have these at Springfield in January; order cut off date is in February and we'll go right into production thereafter. I'd say spring delievery is about right.

Rivets.........it always comes down to rivets.............

Thanks for the update Mike!  I've been waiting for these ever since the announcement H0 cars were produced, so I can wait a wee bit longer.  :)

Now for the Turbo Train.....
. . . 42 . . .

Mike, any update on the Prairie Shadows gons? I have been looking forward to the Conrail release for months.

No; come to think of it... I will have to inquire with Mr. Arnold.....

Mike, any update on the Prairie Shadows gons?

Did the first run of these ever hit the shops?  I wanted a few CP cars and even Prairie Shadows site never seemed to have the cars on its web site.

I'd be curious about that too.  I ordered direct so I wouldn't have to worry about it.  Margins are so short on some of these cars that they aren't ever going to see a retailer.

Prairie Shadows had them if you had a reservation in.  Mine were hand-delivered at the West Springfield show.  I would send an email to see if any remain.

I just emailed Jeff about the CP gons - he has a small supply left so contact Jeff at Prairie Shadows and he'll fix you up.

I know I saw them at Credit Valley in Toronto but couldn't tell you where else they were available.

Yeah, okay, that woke up a few brain cells.  I think I had asked here if any US shops were going to carry these cars.  Between no response here and a few calls I made, it was clear that if I wanted any, I'd better get them on order ASAP so I ordered direct.
