FVM: N Scale Milwaukee Road Transfer Caboose First Shots

Great to see the first test shots of the Fox Valley Models Milwaukee Road transfer caboose! This is a super tiny model, which were built on steam tender frames. Not entirely sure of all the locations where these ended up, but they were definitely used in Milwaukee (including the Beer Line), Chicago, Kansas City, and the Quad Cities (including the DRI&NW). Maybe the Twin Cities and possibly a location or two on the western lines? These have been a long time coming and it is great to see these shots.

Thanks Matt!!!

Best wishes, Dave
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I'm not a Milwaukee modeler but they do look great!!!!

Hope Matt eventually gets around to doing a GN caboose (or maybe a couple!!!). The 24' wooden one and the 30' steel cabooses would cover all eras. I'm pretty sure one of the 24' ones received the full BN green and yellow. CB&Q would be nice to see too.

Yeah I know you railwire guys would rather Matt does a NYC or Seaboard or something!!!!

You can get a model of the 24' wooden GN caboose from AMB (American Model Builders).  Granted, it is a laser cut kit.  It is kit #550.
