So tempting.  How does it compare size-wise to the old Atlas turntable?

If one wanted to you could sink that into the layout just like any TT so the rail tops match any height you want . Then fill any gaps to make it blend in . Many turntables had that through girder bridge design . If you paint the pit the same color as the indexing holes , the holes will not be noticed . How black is a hole and who makes black hole paint is your guess . One could also make the holes a detail by adding vertical stains and or rust from them as if the were weep drains . One could add holes and or rusted metal covers to areas on the pit wall that are not OEM holes just to break up the equal spacing providing they don't impede the TT in any way .

When KATO ran their Norfolk Southern heritage units ads, they had the models arranged around a turntable.

The turntable in the ads looks quite different from the model now being offered by KATO.

Who is the producer/vendor of the turntable in the KATO ads? It seems to be a bigger turntable.
