So has anyone here gotten an off the shelf MTL SW-1500 yet?
I know BLW listed NS units in stock. Let's see pix if you've got one.
 Thanks,

I believe that they've never been photographed, not unlike the rare and elusive pipsquack bird.

I think part of the reason there may not be is because they were recalled.   I'm not sure that many/most shops didn't just send them back versus trying to fix them themselves.   That's just my theory.

Really? Do I see "UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD" on the medallion on the cab? With "North Little Rock" (ex-MoPac shops) lettering? I'd like to know what research came up with that one, because the "RAILROAD" was dropped from the medallion in late 1969 and the MoPac takeover was in '84. (Sorry... nitpick... it's a pet peeve... Here's a pic of 1318.)

Not too bad comparing the proto pic to the model of course the model shows the opposite side as the proto pic, but it looks good to my untrained eye.

I'm sure there is a Microscale decal available to correct the cab shield heralds.

Chris, are those "off the shelf",  or at a show, presented by MTL?

The mechanism poking out from under the shell is fairly well obscured so that is good. Would be great to see a shot looking down on the long hood, but it is what it is. Kinda pricey for the trade-offs, but all told I'll still get two for BN. Anybody know when the BN are due out?

Of course. Like I said, just a pet peeve. It's a distinction that the various makers' art prep people keep overlooking, and I see it in both directions (without "RAILROAD" on pre-1969 models).

It really is handsome in yellow and gray. Too bad for me the pre-merger UP didn't have any. I get to wait (impatiently, mind you) for an SP version with Flexicoils and ...hint hint hint... light packages. Hopefully.
