My grandfather went on what appears to be a FL9 pulled rail tour in 1971. Here are the pictures
Group hug time, folks!
... I also see the fine folks at Rapido have plenty of scope for a second batch of schemes (or for the kitbashers to have some fun):Metro-North blue & yellow http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=93803&nseq=250Maine Eastern (now that's a pretty scheme) http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=165996&nseq=198Morristown & Erie (same loco as above?) http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=415645&nseq=52Ohio Railway Supply, on Cuyahoga Scenic - hey Puddy, see what it's pulling? http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=376031&nseq=68Orford Express (so modern Canadian modelers can have one, too) http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=456701&nseq=3
Rapido is sneaky. They don't post photos of the model. They just use prototype photos and drawings. Hmm... Kiz just gave mephotos of bananas forsupper...
Great pictures, thank you.Jane
Could that be the last passenger train on the line to Pittsfield? I believe service ended in April, 1971.Looks like the entire town turned out...
Excellent news! But guys and gals, before you pee your knickers from the excitement remember, you won't see there until 2020! Yes, supposedly 18 months, but then there will be many unexpected delays in the Chinese factories. Anybody remember the N scale Turbo Train? Anybody wants to take bets (Kato Unitrack this time) as to when FL9's will actually show up?
Direct order only, or should I wait for BLW to show?
