I did it again... stole another DKS layout plan:
https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=32315.msg378631#msg378631

Some pics of the progress:

Lots more to do, the whole thing is only 29 days old.

That mini-layout looks like a lot of fun to switch Chris...does it operate as good as it looks?

And not to beat this "bear" thing to death, but I concur with Tim H's observations about bears around trains in BC.  One day while photographing the Lemon Creek bridge on the CP's Slocan subdivision in Southeastern BC, a big black bear just walked right into my camera's view finder.  Luckily he seemed more interested in the creek and my dog didn't notice him.  I just slowly walked backward to my car which was parked a few hundred feet away with the dog reined in.  Needless to say the C&W's model of Lemon creek features this little micro scene. :)

As always, lotsa good stuff here this weekend.....
Got a good day in on the Ballard Why project this week and today.
I finished replacing the track and switches on the Yard Throat module to prepare for building the ramp up to the Green Line.

The track with the MOW gon and it's partner on the left will head up the ramp.

worked on the H24-66 a little today, still working on filling the SP light package, one of these days I need to get some squadron putty or something like that, rather than cutting little tiny styrine plugs.

I also decided on what I am going to do for side rails on this beast, now I just gotta track down some period correct hand rail sanctions (I think thats what they are called) and some better brass wire.

Started some scenery work on the Fish Creek side of my layout.  A-lot of this is experimentation and "learn as you go".  Still far far away from completion.

Oooooh.... Nice work Andrew!

A friend with a laser cutter is a wonderful thing. I mentioned that I had a drawing of an RPO I wanted to model, a week later two of these showed up. Now I need to turn them into the rest of the cars...

Boston & Maine 3115-3121 in case it isn't immediately obvious.

Really nice!  Looks like several layers... what material is that, and how thick?

Any chance your friend could do some laser-cut windows from ~ 0.010" clear acrylic?  I can make the CAD drawing.

I once thought about doing laser-cut tie strips from Baltic Birch plywood, but for N-scale it gets expensive (compared say to HO) because it requires many linear inches of cut lines for a given length of track.

It's 0.2mm card (ie thick paper) There are four layers.

I'll ask him next time I see him about the windows.

Veering off into decidedly "lo-fi" modeling with an unusual vintage layout refurbishment project.

Very nice Bill.  What program/settings are you using to size your pictures? The compression is really taking away from the image.

My NYC E7s running on a short excursion train. They're Life Like models equipped with ESU loksound.

Wow!  Great combo.  Can you share what speaker you used and how much frame milling was required?
