Does anyone know if these will work for the intermountain tunnel motors? Thanks
I can't figure out why no one here has suggested ordering direct from Kato. I did this 2 months ago and ordered 20 packages so I could do all my loco's.There only $8.00 a set and you get 6 wheeled gear sets. That as cheap as you'll find anywhere.
I get them from MBK because of the discounted price. If you buy a dozen packages, the discount adds up. Plus, I usually manage to order few other items too. BTW, some of the earlier sets only contained 4 sets (not 6). Same part number! I was happy when they added 2 more wheel sets (so 2 packages can convert 3 4-axle locos).
No, MBK has them listed at $8.00 MSRP and discounted to $6.79 per package.https://www.modeltrainstuff.com/kato-n-932090-low-profile-geared-wheel-sets-6/But, they're out of stock. There was one pack in stock yesterday. Somebody got it.DFF
Pete,What I don't get is MB Klien gives them a list price of $10 and selling them at $8.49 a package and Kato lists them a an MSRP of $8.00!! I did try to order a large quantity just to see what they would have charged me but they only have 4 sets in stock which won't give you any discount. So just how much did you eventually pay per set?? Just curious because I've never done better than $8 per set.Jon
Hmmm . . . that's very interesting . . .I bought the last batch from MBK in October, 2018. The Kato label on the package shows $8.00, but the MBK price I paid was $6.80. Earlier batch I bought from MBK, back in March, 2016, has the same $8.00 price on the Kato label, but at that time MBK price was $6.40. If what you see is correct, then something odd is going on at MBK.
Psst. Pete. Read the prior two posts.
