All you weatherologists might enjoy this one I took about a week ago. 


If you look really close, you can see the red crossing lights where the tree line breaks on the right, so, yeah.  Still somewhat train related. :)

So that's what a DCC decoder looks like inside when it's being fried...cool  :trollface:

Seriously, great shot...just wouldn't wanna be in that storm  :scared:

Skip ahead to about 55 seconds to the really spectacular part if you like. Older video, but when it's train vs tornado the winds will win.

Drifting a little into just "Nature and Trains", here's a timelapse compilation I made a few years ago. Starts out with pretty clouds and such, but if you wait until about half way, it starts to get real good. 

Then toward the end, well, I think you'll enjoy it.  ;) 

I suggest full screen HD.


Oh lookie, the thumbnail gives you a bit of a tease ;)

FWIW the one I posted does indeed have accompanying video that sows a funnel forming later as it moves across the landscape.  Thankfully its touchdown was brief and rural.
